Special Forces Track Club

A division of the 501c3 not-for-profit Special Forces Unlimited whose primary focus is to promote education and excellence using athletics as the primary vehicle. Established in 1998, the Virginia Special Forces Track Club primarily services the Northern Virginia area and the surrounding states - Maryland, West Virginia and D.C.. Our programs offer outdoor track and field in the Spring and Summer, and indoor track in the Winter.  The program based in Loudoun County, Virginia uses facilities in the Leesburg and Ashburn area. 

   Kids Living Fit is an after-school fitness and running program designed for elementary and middle school aged kids. In Spring 2007 Kids Living Fit was selected for Inova Hospital's Best Practice Award for creating a healthier community. The program is currently offered in select Northern Virginia schools in Loudoun and Fairfax counties by Good Sport Fitness LLC. For the Fall 2007, Kids Living Fit will offer KLF Strider programs for Eastern Loudoun (Lansdowne) and Fairfax (Freedom Hill).

 

Special Operations Warrior Foundation
Special Forces Track Club has joined forces with the Special Operations Warrior Foundation, (SOWF) which provides scholarships to children of fallen Special Operations Personnel. We are selling two items in a joint fundraising effort. One item is the ever so popular, light blue, rubber wrist bands that say, “Feel the Force ” and light blue magnetic car ribbons that say , “Support Special Forces.” The cost of both items is $5 with proceeds going to both the track club and the Warrior Foundation. You can also make donations to SOW

USA Track & Field (USATF) is the National Governing Body for track and field, long-distance running and race walking in the United States. USATF encompasses the world's oldest organized sports, the most-watched events of Olympic broadcasts, the #1 high school and junior high school participatory sport and more than 50 million adult runners in the United States.

Amateur Athletic Union
The Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) is dedicated exclusively to the promotion and development of amateur sports and physical fitness programs. "Sports For All, Forever". Currently we do not pursue the AAU program as our focus is on Hershey, USATF and meets in the DC Metro area.

Army Ten Miler

Over 26,000 runners and 623 teams from around the world will compete in 25 divisions for top honors. Top US military teams will compete for the coveted Commander's Cup and its bragging rights! The 26,000 individuals running this year's ATM hale from all 50 states and the District of Columbia as well as Canada, Finland, Denmark, Germany, Ireland, South Korea, Netherlands, Norway, Philippines, Puerto Rico and Sweden.
